SAM ! ROM-COM SITE ANALYSIS

CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC:
Firstly we have a flash page of a cash register, and sound effects of its chime. Sub-Consciously, the audience makes the link between this and 'Shopaholic''. We are then directed to trailer of the movie, with a large image of New York and Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) with masses of shopping bags being shoved into a taxi. This again registers the main plotline to the audience. the site itself includes more images of Rebecca and shopping bags. These bags also represent various links which take you to other pages on the site; such as the cast, videos, downloads and a gallery. We also have large image in the shop-window with Rebecca and the Luke played by Hugh Dancy; which allows the audience to make a connection between the love. On all these others links though, we get reoccurring images of Rebecca but in different outfits. We recognise that this is must be the shopaholic and the story will tell of her confession. Pink is very common on the site.

WILD CHILD.
Wild Child, being part of Working Title Films, does not have its own site, as such, displaying key information in a very basic way. The only true connection between this and Rom-Coms such as Confessions, is the reoccurance of the colour pink, which is the main colour of the logo of the film. We get glamorous pictures of the cast, but also have links to key information such as cast and photos. There is also an archive which shows a past-competition.

THE PROPOSAL
The layout is almost identical to Confessions; We have a large image of primary characters, a trailer to the film, reoccurring theme colours (this time red and white; possibly signifying love and marriage? It is also possible for members of the public to enter a competition, like Wild Child, in which you can win a holiday to New York where the movie is set.

THE PRIME
The Prime website again shows a large image of primary characters. We then get short clips which give a brief summary of some of the complications in the movie; but are very humorous. We then have jazz music over the top, and key links which take you to similar pages as those mentioned above.
